SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

 

Start Line:
Extends north from Green Buoy “J61”, which is halfway between Picnic and Narrow Islands, to the Committee Boat.

 

Course:
While keeping Buoy “U2” to your starboard side proceed northerly up the Wabuno Channel. After sailing easterly of the Halfway Islands continue in a NW direction to Buoy “U4” which is SE of Louisa Island. After leaving this buoy on your starboard side, head north to NW of Kirkpatrick Island. When safe to do so, steer easterly staying north of Perley, High and Eastern Islands. After passing Eastern Island head SW to Wabuno Channel passing to the west of the Halfway Islands. After leaving “U2” on your port side, proceed to cross the finish line which is north of Buoy “J45” in the Little Current Channel.

NOTE:
In case of easterly winds or other circumstances, the Committee Boat will notify all boats on Ch. 80 that the finish line may be changed. All boats will be required to follow channel markers. The Committee Boat will shorten the course, or call the race at 5:00 p.m all boats left on the course will receive a place (2) places after the last boat that finishes within the time limit.

Class flag shown and 1 sound
Preparatory Flag shown and 1 sound
Prep flag down and 1 long sound
Class flag down and 1 sound

A countdown to the start will also be made on the VHF however the flag signal will take precedence.


Monitor Ch. 80 for the start and duration of the race for info.

White sail boats will be given a 12 sec/mile credit in relation to spinnaker boats for overall scoring.
